June 1: Go Barefoot Day

Summer is here, so it’s time to ditch your shoes! Go Barefoot Day (or National Go Barefoot Day depending on who’s talking about it) is June 1. Celebrate by spending as much time as you can without shoes or socks. It’s so much fun!

If you need some inspiration, check out Ziggy Marley’s fun Sesame Street performance “Set Your Piggies Free!

How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”

Isaiah 52:7

  1. Go barefoot day is nice and all, but there are plenty of us who don’t like to go barefoot outside the house. So, personally, I am celebrating National Doughnut Day! Believe it or not, it actually commemorates the women who volunteered to serve coffee and doughnuts to during World War II. So, enjoy your barefooted frolicking while I sit on my couch and consume a doughnut!
