October 22 is National Nut Day. This seems like a fun day to me, but no one can tell me exactly what kind of nut it’s about (although the majority tend towards the food). So, here’s my proposal for National Nut Day:
1) Set out a bunch of nuts in pretty bowls – peanuts, almonds, pecans . . . whatever floats your boat.
2) Invite a bunch of nuts (you know you’re friends are nuts!) to come eat the other kind of nuts with you.
3) If you’re really handy, make something with nuts and bolts (and plywood or whatever else you need). Tinker Toys are more my style than actual tools, but you could even have a contest for the best made whatever.
Everybody got it? Okay, happy National Nut Day!
“David took these words to heart and was very much afraid of Achish king of Gath. So he pretended to be insane in their presence; and while he was in their hands he acted like a madman, making marks on the doors of the gate and letting saliva run down his beard.”
