December 19: A Christmas Carol Day

Sorry this is so late, guys. Christmas vacation has started!

Charles_Dickens-A_Christmas_Carol-Title_page-First_edition_1843December 19 is A Christmas Carol Day. Charles Dickens published this famous Christmas story on this day in 1843, unleashing generations of tellings and  re-tellings. Other than the original novella, my favorites are definitely “The Muppet Christmas Carol” or the musical “Scrooge,” although, if you prefer the more serious versions, the 1999 film starring Patrick Stewart is pretty awesome.

The Ghost of Christmas PresentAs Tiny Tim says, “God bless us, every one!”

“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

Colossians 3:13-14
