December 21: Look on the Bright Side Day

In the northern hemisphere, December 21 is the winter solstice – the shortest day of the year. But guess what? That means from here on out it will only get better!

Every cloud has a silver liningYes, it’s time to break out your Pollyana-isms and all those silver linings. December 21 is Look on the Bright Side Day! It may be raining, but at least it’s raining pennies from heaven . . . or men . . . or something. And, hey, we needed the rain anyway, right?

And just to help you look on the bright side, it’s also National Flashlight Day!

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

Matthew 6:26

  1. Is anyone else now humming, “Keep on the Sunny Side” from the movie, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?
