December 30: Bacon Day

Mmmm, bacon!

December 30 is Bacon Day (not to be confused with International Bacon Day, held in the U.S. the Saturday before Labor Day). For a restaurant breakfast, I’ve always chosen bacon over sausage or ham, but it’s pretty good with other things too.

On the other hand, I’ve discovered that there’s this whole bacon subculture out there, especially in the U.S. While some of it looks delicious, I’ve got to admit that some of it kind of disturbs me. Give me bacon, but you can leave out the bacon themed underclothes and the bacon roses. (Yikes!) If you’re interested, check out the Royal Bacon Society and the Bacon Goddess‘s blog. I’m sure you’ll find more than enough!

“I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart;
I will glorify your name forever.”

Psalm 86:12
