January 28: Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day

If you haven’t popped any bubble wrap in a while, you’re missing out. Thankfully, you can fix that on January 28th when we all celebrate Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day.

Apparently bubble wrap was one of those garage mistake inventions. Two New Jersey engineers were attempting to create a  special 3D plastic wallpaper, and ended up creating a light packaging material.  Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day didn’t get started until 2001, when a radio station in Indiana started the Bubblympiad. Sounds fun, right?

“Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.”

1 Corinthians 9:26
