The third Saturday in March is National Quilting Day. It’s the perfect day for having a quilting bee or making a beautiful quilt alone. Sadly, I haven’t learned to quilt yet, so perhaps I’ll just celebrate by snuggling underneath one.
If you haven’t learned either, today could be the perfect day to find someone to teach you. Most churches have at least a few darling older women who are more than happy to share their knowledge. (Of course, I do know some younger quilters as well! It’s just a generalization! Although I don’t think I’ve ever met a man who quilts. Sewing, sure, maybe knitting, but not quilting.)
In case you’re worried, however you choose to celebrate will be just fine, because March 16 is also Everything You Do Is Right Day. 🙂
“Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
