I know I’m posting this rather late, so I hope it’s not too late for you, but April 7 is No Housework Day! I can tell you I shouldn’t be celebrating today; however, it’s 8 PM and, unless you count the tiny bit of warming up some food and mixing a salad, I haven’t done any housework yet.
I’ve been all around the internet the last few minutes trying to find a public domain image or two for this post, and there are some amazing images out there. Cartoons and memes with lines like “Housework is evil and must be stopped” and “I hate housework. You make the beds, do the dishes, and six months later you have to do it all over again.” (Of course, the funny ones weren’t public domain, so you’ll have to go looking yourself if you want to see them. These beautiful images are from Arthur’s Free Clipart.)
So, no dishes, no dusting, no vacuuming, and the laundry will still be there tomorrow. Got it?
“By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.”
