Sometimes you might be tempted to think that every day is Pandemonium Day, but you’d be wrong. As a matter of fact, July 14th is Pandemonium Day – tumult, chaos, craziness, Chuck-E-Cheese’s during five end of the school year parties and Walmart early on Black Friday morning.
And the obvious conclusion in my mind is that every other day of the year must inherently be calm, placid, and peaceful. 🙂
I don’t know why July 14th became known as Pandemonium Day (although it is also Bastille Day), but I figure it’s a good occasion to act a little silly or do something totally unexpected. Perhaps it’s one of those times that Henry Ward Beecher meant when he said: “No man is sane who does not know how to be insane on the proper occasions.”
“Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs
than a fool bent on folly.”
