September 2: Labor Day

Ack! Sorry, guys. I did several posts ahead of time, and, for some reason, I thought I’d done today’s as well. Oops. Anyway …

Happy Labor Day! In the U.S., we always celebrate hard work by taking the first Monday in September off.

In addition, Labor Day means that the summer is (unofficially) over, and fall has begun. If you follow fashion rules, it also means you’ve got to put away your white clothes. Traditionally, you can only wear white from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

A lot of people have been on the blog already today, checking out last year’s September 2 post. It’s a bit weird: National Beheading Day. Have fun with that one!

“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
    establish the work of our hands for us—
    yes, establish the work of our hands.”

Psalm 90:17
